How to Verify Reddit Without Using Your Personal Phone Number

Reddit asks new or flagged accounts to verify a phone number before they can post, comment freely, or message other users — mainly to cut down on spam and ban evasion. If you're managing a second account, testing a bot/integration against Reddit's API, or don't want your main number tied to a throwaway account, a rented number covers the check.

Steps

1. Rent a number for Reddit — an instant rental is enough for a one-time verification.

2. In Reddit's verification prompt (or Settings → Account → Phone number), enter the rented number with its country code.

3. Reddit texts a verification code within seconds on a working number.

4. Enter the code from your rental's status page to finish verifying.

Instant or monthly?

Instant is enough for the standard check. Choose monthly only if you expect Reddit to re-verify the same number later, which isn't the common case.
