Snapchat's mobile app asks for a phone number by default when you sign up, and won't let you start adding friends or using most features until it's verified with an SMS code. That's a problem if you're testing a signup flow, running more than one account, or would rather not hand a messaging app your personal number.
1. Rent a number for Snapchat — an instant rental covers the one-time signup verification.
2. On the Snapchat signup screen, enter the rented number with its country code.
3. Snapchat sends a verification code by SMS, usually within seconds.
4. Enter the code from your rental's status page to finish creating the account.
An instant rental is enough — Snapchat verifies the number once at signup and doesn't typically text it again afterward, so there's no need to keep it reachable long-term.
