TikTok lets you sign up with an email, but the app pushes phone signup harder — it's the default option on first launch, and a phone number is required to recover an account or lift certain restrictions later. That's a real problem if you're testing a signup or moderation flow, running more than one account, or don't want a video app tied to your personal number.
1. Rent a number for TikTok — an instant rental covers the one-time signup verification.
2. On the TikTok signup screen, choose phone signup and enter the rented number with its country code.
3. TikTok sends a verification code by SMS, usually within seconds.
4. Enter the code from your rental's status page to finish creating the account.
An instant rental is enough — TikTok verifies the number once at signup and doesn't typically text it again afterward, so there's no need to keep it reachable long-term.
