How to Verify WhatsApp Without Using Your Personal Phone Number

WhatsApp requires a phone number to verify an account, but that doesn't have to be your personal number. Businesses running multiple WhatsApp Business accounts, people who want a second number for privacy, and anyone testing an app all have the same problem: WhatsApp ties every account to one number, and you may not want that number to be yours.

Steps

1. Rent a number for WhatsApp — an instant rental is enough for a one-time verification. Pick a service that shows real-time availability so you're not paying for a number that's already exhausted.

2. Install WhatsApp (or open it if it's already installed) and enter the rented number exactly as shown, including the country code.

3. WhatsApp sends a verification code by SMS to that number within seconds on a working provider.

4. The code shows up on your rental's status page (or is pushed to you directly if the provider has a Telegram bot) — enter it in WhatsApp to finish verifying.
